We are proud to announce the 2019 edition of the Waterberg Traverse Mountain Bike Race that will take place on 13-14 April. Following on from the success of the 2017 and 2018 race, the event have found a permanent home at ATKV Klein Kariba Bela Bela that will serve as start/finish venue sponsor and host for the foreseeable future.
The Waterberg Traverse single stage MTB race brings an ultra-endurance event within easy reach of Gauteng, North-West, Mpumalanga, and Limpopo.
The 2019 event will see riders covering some 3270m of climbing over a distance of 190/290km in 16/24 hours (Non-Stop), with significant climbs over Bakker’s pass and Jan Trichardt pass as the route traverse some of the most scenic bushveld landscapes within the greater Waterberg Biosphere Reserve. Riders can take part in two different distances, 190km or 290km as either solo riders, two team riders or four rider relay teams.
