CLAW (Community Led Animal Welfare) is an organisation that was started in 1992 in order to tackle the issue of a lack of veterinary services within townships.
Cora Bailey, the founder of CLAW, says that there are not enough homes for the amount of animals being born on a yearly basis within townships.
Animals that do not get adopted are unfortunately put to sleep, with Bailey stating that almost a million animals get put to sleep yearly in South Africa.
The animal welfare clinic depends on donations in order to continue its operations.
